As you add Templates to your Rule, Rule Designer will validate what you have added and provide feedback on the changes. Any errors it finds will be highlighted within red information boxes at the bottom of the Rule Designer screen.
Changes to a Rule can have a significant impact on the Rule and you can find yourself with lots of errors occurring at once. These errors are listed in Rule flow order from left to right.
The error message will highlight the specific Tile that has the error and an indication of the reason for the error.
The Error message uses the Tile name. If you have used the same Template multiple times it may be unclear which specific Tile has the error. Naming the Tile individually as you go makes this process easier.
Clicking on “View” to the right of the Error message will open the Tile with the Error at the Tile Configuration screen.
If you are making significant changes to a Rule, planning a Rule or know a Rule “Will” be broken you may choose to hide the errors while you finalise your changes and prep any new Templates. At the top right-hand side of the Rule Designer screen you can see the number of errors currently present. Clicking on the icon will hide the errors. Clicking again will show them again.
