Logging can be accessed, from Rule Designer, the Rule Health Icon or the menu in the Rules screen.

If logging has been added to the underlying Templates within the Rule any logs generated by this Rule will be available here, standard logs on Rule status will also show.

Log Type Filter - Select from:

  • All - All available logs

  • Write to Log - Logs specifically added to the underlying Rule Templates. Normally added to help triage issues or review the data being processed.

  • System - System logs, more generic errors and the current state of the Rule

Date Range - To see the logs over a specific date range select a From and to Date and time. By default tthe date range is not used and this screen will automatically show the last 100 rows (logs) created the moment before the screen was opened.

To review “New” logs as part of testing add adjust from to include the current date and time and then select To as a future value. Refresh will add any new logs created into this view.

If the log message is large and difficult to see click on the <> button bring up a larger version or double click on the row. Logs can be examined in a formatted style or raw text.
This specific log can be downloaded from this view or all the visible logs can be downloaded using the download button at the top of the logging screen.

Refresh will update the screen showing the latest logs.

Logging can also be accessed for a specific Rule directly from the Ribbon bar.
