Certain sequences of Tiles within your Rules may be required to fulfil business requirements in multiple flows. Instead of adding the Tiles one by one through the standard Template Selection Screen process you can copy the Tiles you require and paste them where you want them.
You can copy Rules singularly or in sequence. Where a sequence of Tiles is copied, when pasted the tiles will be placed down in the order they were selected in the copy process.
If the selected “paste” lattice point does not have enough room to the right for all the Tiles to be added in a row it will find a sensible way to place the Tiles in order.
To copy one or more Tiles:
Ctrl-Left Mouse Click on the Tiles you require in the order you require when pasted.
Ctrl-C Keyboard Shortcut to show the lattice points where you can paste.
Left Click on your chosen lattice point and we will paste the tiles in sequence order left to right from this point.
When Tiles are copied, we do not maintain any field mappings. As the Tiles are not linked to the flow of the Rule, we do not know which fields are available.
After you have finished copying and pasting you will need to link the copied Tiles with the Rule to ensure the Ruel is valid.
Select Tiles
Ctrl-Left Mouse Click on the Tiles you require in the order you require when pasted.
Ctrl-C Keyboard Shortcut to show the lattice points where you can paste. Notice the lattice points showing you where you can paste.
Left Click on your chosen lattice point and we will paste the tiles in sequence order left to right from this point. In the example below the Tiles were selected in order and therefore pasted in order.
You can also use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl-V to paste the Tiles onto the Canvas. The Tiles will be pasted in order at the nearest location where other Tiles do not have to be moved to accomodate the Tiles being pasted.
