View Records behind Journey Visualisation Nodes

Another option that exists when clicking on a node in the Journey Visualisation Flow is the Display events. This facility allows the Analyst to view data events that occurred on this Location.

It is important at this stage to review and confirm what records are being viewed. A Location a representation of the web page or specific content that the Visitor has interacted with, and the Journey Visualisation Flow represents that a behaviour paths. When clicking on a node and viewing records, it is on those events for that Location, in that specific path,, that are being counts. So this record view does not represent all instances of that Location, it is restricted to that Location in that specific ordinal position within the flow.

Here is an example of assists with that understanding.

The screenshot below shows the user hovering over the app-download node and seeing a count of 1,427. Clicking on the node and viewing the records via the Display events option, would display 1,427. That count represents the Visitors who went to the app-download Location as the fourth Location in that Interaction path.

Now if the Analyst then decides to set the app-download at the Start, to Analyse what follows that specific Location, the Journey Visualisation processing will gather all occurrences of app-download, and left align on those. That would also then include specific interactions to that Location who went to app-download one or more times, but at any point in the entire Interaction path. That count of app-download Location is much higher at 2,001. The Display Events here has been selected.
