Once your Rule is saved, has no errors and is ready for review invoke in the ribbon bar will open the Rule in the API test screen. Here you can feed your Rule with the required test values and see if the response received back is correct.

In most cases the the Test screen provides a better more integrated Rule testing mechanism. However the API test screen provides some more specialist test values that may not be included in the Test screen.
